The Paso Robles area of the Central Coast has long been known as a hotbed for street rod builders, drag racers and car collectors...while most made the trek to Pismo Beach every Saturday for the Donuts Derelicts gathering, they decided, with the gas increases last year, to start their own weekly gathering--hence, the Bakery Bums, located at Cider Creek Bakery, with some 50 cars now showing up weekly; I made the short-32 mile hop a week ago, glad I drove the '32, as it has a heater, and it was a nippy 29 degrees when I left....yeah, I know it's California, but it was chilly for us old coots...
