Finally, the first outdoor event of the season in the greater Houston area. Actually it was scheduled to be the second but since the first one got rained out, BURNOUT Houston is #1. Actually #1 is a pretty good description since the “traditional” hot rod show is the largest event of its type in the area and it’s grown to that in just two short years! Held again at the Chandelier Ballroom in the Houston Heights (where I grew up!) the traditional show (nostalgic, rat rod, etc.) is open to all ’65 and earlier Hot Rods, Customs and Choppers. Live music was on hand at the show and at the “After Party” at the downtown Continental Club. This was a good preview show for the upcoming Lone Star Roundup in Austin in April.
