“Too Low”

“This was supposed to be a senior project for Del Valle High School senior Louis Cabrera….he wanted to put on a car show and donate the proceeds to Safe Place, a non-profit group that helps victims of sexual and domestic abuse.

Louis worked hard for many months planning and organizing, and I’m glad to say I was able to help him a little by hooking him up with car show people in the Austin area.

Then last Thursday, while Louis and another young man were putting up flyers for the show, they were both struck

by a car, and Louis was seriously injured, including a broken collarbone and concussion, and was in critical condition. Click on the link for the story in the local newspaper about the accident. http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/04/04/0404luis.html

As you can see, the car show was held anyway and Safe Place elected to turn the proceeds over to Louis’ family to go towards the medical expenses.

Louis is a very hard working and polite young man and if anyone would like to donate to his medical expense fund, they can either email [email protected] or they can send a donation to me at:
