My second stop was the Yenko 1960’s muscle car display. Don Yenko was the racing son of a Pennsylvania Chevy dealer and at the time was frustrated with Chevy for not putting more powerful engines in their cars and along with other Chevy dealers like Baldwin, Berger, Dana, Fred Gibb, and Nickey they started modifying production cars with different non-factory offered performance upgrades. Their cars became famous for their power and handling abilities, both on the track and on the street. Seeing this success Chevy opened their famous Central Office Production Order (COPO) ordering system to allow all dealers the opportunity to order high performance equipment and different engine combinations on cars straight from the factory. Enjoy the pics!
