The grandson and I attended the grand opening of High Plains Raceway in Byers, CO.  This is a new track for the road race community. It replaces Second Creek Raceway that closed up do to the pressure of people moving to close and a new airport being built in 2005. The new track is located 17 miles north of Byers co. which is located about 50 miles east of Denver. It should take quite some time for people to move in to the area and get it shut down. The day-long event included activities for the whole family .
