Monday 8/17 - East Bay Area
Kick off Hot Rod Week 2009 with a trip out to California’s historic San Joaquin Valley region. We’ll visit several hot rod shops including a morning stop at Hot Rod’s Plus then on to Leonard Lopez’ “Dominator” Hot Rod Shop. From there we’ll traverse back over the Altamont Pass down into Pleasanton to visit the supreme craftsmen at Lazze Metal Dreams before ending the day at Goodguys World Headquarters for some refreshments.

Tuesday 8/18 – North Bay Area
Day two will include a trip up to the scenic North Bay Area and a stop at the USA Event Center historic Auto museum. They also have an entire room dedicated to genuine artifacts from the Titanic – yes that Titanic! From there we’ll head to Hall Fabrications and Racing for a look at their giant fab shop, followed by a stop at Specialty Sales where some of the world’s most collectible automobiles are for sale in their showroom! The final stop will be at the estate of Willis Johnson in Fairfield to view his private collection. Johnson is the founder of Copart – one of the world’s largest auto salvage auctioneers.

Wednesday 8/19 – Peninsula and South Bay
We start day three with a visit to the always-popular hot rod hub of Roy Brizio Street Rods in South San Francisco. We’ll also stop next door to Sanderson Headers for a look at their factory before heading South to historic Palo Alto and the world famous sports car and hot rod collection of John Mozart. Day three winds up with a stop at Campbell Auto Restoration & High Performance Center where cutting edge Muscle Cars take center stage.

Thursday 8/20 – Tri Valley
Wrap up Hot Rod Week 2009 with a rare visit to “Attitude Aviation” in Livermore where you’ll see a wide range of historic and vintage airplanes. You’ll then have your choice of visiting the world famous Blackhawk Auto Museum in Danville or a hi-speed visit to Umigo indoor kart racing in Livermore where you’ll have the opportunity to make hi speed laps on the indoor go kart track! Participants can finish their day with a stop at Danville’s Hot August Night’s downtown hot rod cruise or the Goodguys West Coast Nationals kick off party at the Sheraton Hotel in Pleasanton!
