(When I read the news of John Force Racing moving the operation to Indianapolis, I decided to go to the car show to find out more. There I met with Director of Special Promotions, Craig Hoelzel, and he explained that JFR is

moving to be better located to more efficiently get to 20 or so drag strips around the country. It will also expose his crew to more affordable housing. The Indianapolis facility grand opening is September 3, 2009.  The facility in Yorba Linda will become the JFR corporate headquarters. The large shop area will be used to produce John Force specialty vehicles. This plan would seem to create work for those JFR employees who live here.)

On the last Saturday night of each month the John Force Racestation is the site of a car show. A car club is selected to be the “Host” for the evening. Orange County Mustang Owners Club were the “Hosts” the evening I went. The hours are 4:00 to 8:00 and they work out just right as the temperature of the day begins to cool down making the event comfortable. Several vendors were showing their wares, a raffle and a 50/50 were available, food and drinks were available, the Racestation is open, and the Racestore is open. About 125 cars showed up for the free event. The cars ranged from an early 1900’s Sedan to several new Camaros. At the end of the evening the raffle winners were selected, car winners were announced, and the 50/50 winner was chosen. Getting together with car friends is always fun.

Thanks for the Show!
