Saturday, August 22, 2009 was the date of the annual Hot Rod meeting at MB MOTOR DENMARK. At 10:00 AM came the Swedish and Danish hot rods to MB Motors to enjoy the old cars, the fine weather and each other's company.
Mb Motor/Lo and Mikael Breiding ordered perfect weather for the run this year. There were about 75 people, and around 30 cars that showed up on this great day.
the run started with coffee and homemade cake in the shop and a lot of tire kicking, before take off . The rod run started in the North of Sealand. The rod run was planned to go around the beautiful lake of Esrum. It started with a post in the shop where you must start with answering some questions, and then a little exercise, all must do before they hit the road. Then, they go out on the run, around 45-50 miles. There was a bicycle race that day that slowed us down a bit, but no problems for the rodders, the weather was just great and everyone was happy and enjoying the day. There was a stop down by the lake, where all could enjoy nature and the lake and answer some more questions and do a new exercise
The run continued on to Frederiksborg Castle Garden and then to the castle's main entrance on the other side, where there was set up a place with coffee and soda. Some of the rodders looked around the castle. Then the trip continued out to the woods, to enjoy the nature and just enjoy the rodders life.
Back in the shop there was the last exercise and after that some relaxing and to look at some of MB MOTOR’S work in the shop before the dinner.
Lo, Mikael`s wife served dinner for all the quests. After dinner there were prizes for the winners of the rod run. Both local dealers and other business associates donated many fine prizes to the participants. 1st, 2nd and 3 prizes went to Swedish participants - all with the surname “Persson”, which may be regarded as a coincidence. There was also a prize for “long distance”. The winner had traveled 163 miles km from southern Sweden to North Sealand. And one new rodder came into the gang with a prize for good and hard work to get his car on the road.
MB Motor thanks all participants, sponsors and God for the fine weather which made it a brilliant day.
We look forward to see you next year !! Happy Rodding from Mikael and Lo Breiding
