K-Mart / Hardees's parking lot

Here we are July 18th and it was time for Paulette and I to go back to Pennyrile Classic Car's Cruise-in at the K-Mart / Hardee's parking lot. The weather was outstanding for a Kentucky July day( high 72/ low 56 ). Normally it would be 101

with 98 humidity. Because of the weather they had a record turn out of 200+ cars. Their flagged area in the big open lot holds 120 so they had to fill up Hardee's lot around the Restaurant. It was great for this clubs hard work to have so many people having a good time. They had FREE popcorn, door prizes, music and 8 flavors of home made Ice cream. ALL FREE!!! As an extra treat a local band ( Southern Dirt ) from Hopkinsville, Ky came out and set up for a 2 1/2 hr concert of southern rock music.

 This was a terrific event! Hats off to the members of Pennyrile Classic Car Club for a job well done. Enjoy the pictures--Dale Satterlee Roving Reporter--Western Kentucky
