The Annual Santa Margarita Ranch Time Trials were held Saturday, October 3rd, with the largest turnout to date! Open to 1934 and older Ford 4 cylinder powered cars and trucks, entries came from both ends of the state, all attempting to see just how fast their 'banger' was...normally these F.A.S.T. events are of a hill climb nature, while this one is laid out on a private airstrip, giving the cars the opportunity to run a 1/10 of a mile flat out....with two of the cars reaching the 70 mph range!
 

This year a car show of sorts was included, offering the spectators a parking place in the pit area, which drew many of the area cars, and clubs...our club, San Luis Roadsters, had several members in attendance, including five of us that were in the original 10 founding members from 1970!
