NECOA El Caminos on Main Street Old Town Old Town Kissimmee, FL June 12, 2010 Photos by Jay Bernard and Ed Kelly
As the EL Camino Region 6 members of National El Camino Owners Association (NECOA) had another meet to bring together 1969 to 1987 El Caminos for fun and friendship and a few stories abut what is and mostly what WAS. To make our meets more interesting and eventful we always piggy back them onto a show or cruise-in that is a great event to give our group a trip to remember. Old Town is probably Florida's biggest weekly cruise-in with this one being the Annual Friday night 1974 and newer show and Saturday 1974 and older normal weekly cruise-

in. So the NECOA cars started their meet at 10:00 AM and then remained on the main street bricks until the night time parade of cars down main street. They led the parade as the feature car of the day just back of the selected GTO CRUISER of the MONTH car. With Old Town being a large amusement park and travel stop for the Orlando area tourists, the place was packed and the street lined with people to view the cars. This night saw approximately 300 cars and 3 or 4 thousand people. Old Town is probably the best cruiser stop I have been to for planning and having things right and ready and fun for all. To Old Town and the members of the EL Camino Club NECOA - Thanks for having us and thanks for bringing your CRUCK'S out again.
