    Detroit Autorama  2011

One of the best things about doing a show is that we see so many friends.....   some stop by our booth and others we just meet up with throughout the show....   and then there are the cars....  Jack was so impressed with the work of some of the young rodders in our industry ...  and with some really unique cars ... so take a look as Hotrodhotline visits the Detroit Autorama  2011.

We were so happy to see Tammy Ray, last years Ridler Winner.  She’s such a nice person !  Tammy stopped by to show us a gift from Advanced Plating ... a “topper” for her trophy plated in gold... It was really neat.

It’s Hotrodhotline’s Roving Reporters Big Al and Ray Schuler... having a great time as always

resized414

Hey... It’s David Cohen from  East Coast  Indoor Nationals show ... we’ll be doing some articles about Davids show soon..  It’s in December each year and a real favorite on the East Coast.

resized428

Roving Reporter from Michigan, Bob Steinhaus, stopped by.  Bob got a lot of great shots at the show...

resized517

Roving Reporter Bernie Perrault stopped by with his daughter and her husband.    Bernie is a top source of fun here at Hotrodhotline with his daily emailed jokes !

resized518

Here’s one of those  “Young Guns” young builders Jack has been admiring... Jesse Greening was a busy guy at this show.

resized520

John Sanderson was at the show nearly all week and got lots of great pics... it was great seeing John and getting to meet his wife Gail.

resized521

There was a steady stream of visitors to the Hotrodhotline booth... Big Al ran into a lot of friends..

resized523

Jack loves talking with the guys from Carlisle Events ... Rick Marko has become a great friend and this trip Chris Hann also made it.

resized525

Here’s Gene Winfield .... he was having a really good time at this show... of course Gene is always having fun !

resized564

A rare moment ..... just two people in the booth.

You’ll see more of Headwinds online at Hotrodhotline soon.

Down to the Basement.....  where you’ll find the traditional rods,   nostalgia rods, or some say  “rat rods”.  We  overheard an interesting description of the basement between a young girl and her mother.  The girl was telling the mother that she wanted to go back downstairs and the mother asked her what was down there...  The young girl  (teens and obviously not a car girl)  said... “Well... it’s kind of like a party place, with younger people”  and the cars down there aren’t so shiny like the cars up here... they’re sort of  Rustic”....      Well,  rustic maybe some... but     There were many really nice cars downstairs ...
