The Nutmeg Chapter of Pontiac-Oakland Club International held its 28th Annual Pontiac & Oakland Fall Car Show and Swap Meet at PNA Park in Wallingford, CT on September 25th. The day began under very gloomy skies, which no doubt kept many of the Pontiacs from adjoining states safe and dry at home in their garages. In spite of the wet weather forecast, the sun burned through by noon and everyone in attendance enjoyed a free hotdog cookout courtesy of Barberino Nissan, which for many years past had been Barberino Pontiac-Nissan. I noticed a few New Jersey and Massachusetts plates on some especially nice show cars whose owners, along with the equally brave Connecticut show car owners, risked a soaking that fortunately held off until late Sunday night. Along with the many GTOs and Firebirds, a few full-size stick shift Pontiacs are always fun to see, and this show also had a 1957 fuel injected Bonneville convertible in attendance, truly a rare sighting. Hope you enjoy seeing a variety of Pontiac models as well as a couple of non-Pontiac visitors to this show.
