On Sunday, October 16th, 2011 the Burbank Road Kings car club hosted their annual charity car show at the Santa Anita Race Track in Arcadia, California. This is an event like no other as it combines the splendor of the location and horse racing with the car show. What could be better than great weather, spectacular views of the mountains and palm trees, and of course cars, cars and more cars! This year the weather was spectacular and there were 400+ participant cars for viewing and so the infield was awash with classic cars, hotrods, and trucks. Arriving early afforded us the opportunity to watch the ponies get their workout while we had breakfast, and the horse racing started right after lunch. The car show officially opened to the public at 9 a.m. and concluded at 3 p.m. with the presentation of trophies for the “Top 25”, as picked by the host club. Santa Anita Race track is a great venue for this event, the Road Kings run it with an expertise that only years of experience can develop, and we look forward to attending again next year. Here’s the pictures…..enjoy!
