What a Great Time at the 15th All-Ford Nationals, the largest event in the world held on the Carlisle Fairgrounds, with Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln fans and with over 2,000 vehicles on the NPD showfield. Everything from indoor displays of concepts, customs and historically-significant cars and trucks; test drives by Ford Motor Company; a burnout competition; kids’ activities; industry guests; a car giveaway; NHRA 1/8 mile drag racing at Quarter Acres and more. Some of my favorites were the awesome display of Galaxie Starliners and more Pinto's in one place than you have ever seen before honoring the 40th Anniversary of the Birth of the Pinto. Rounding out my fav’s was the Sea of Yellow Mustangs, all lined up as part of The Yellow Mustang Registry. If you need a Ford part the swap meet was the place to be, everything from A-Z.
Carlisle Events produces eight specialty shows on their 80 plus acres, plus the Spring and Fall events which also serve as the basis for the Spring and Fall Collector Car Auctions. The specialty shows include Carlisle Performance & Style, Carlisle Import & Kit Nationals, Carlisle Ford Nationals, Carlisle GM Nationals, Carlisle Chrysler Nationals, Carlisle Summer Bike Fest, Carlisle Truck Nationals, and Corvettes at Carlisle. Thanks to Rick Marko for having us at this prestigious event and his staff for a great time. We hope to be back in 2012 for more “FORD FUN” !!! …. NJoy the Fields of Fords …Big Al
