Happy New Year Everyone!

For the 4th year, we attended the Annual New Year’s Day Drag Race at Sacramento Raceway Park. This year’s event was the points kickoff event for the Chris Alston’s Chassisworks ET Bracket Race, Sacramento Points chase for the 2012 racing season. And it couldn’t have been a better day. Started off with the fog everyone expects this time of year, but by 10 a.m. the sun was out and warming the track.

Preparation this year was much better and racing got underway at about 11:00 a.m. By 1:00 p.m. lots of

racers and their crews were in their short sleeve shirts…can you believe it…New Years Day in Sacramento!!! Best runs of the day were laid down by a 2000 BB twin turbo charged Camaro…195 and later in the afternoon he backed it up with a run of 197+! This attests to the track prep for the day…thanks to all who worked hard to put on the best New Years Day event in recent memory.
