SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association is all things automotive but is foremost the premier automotive trade show in the world. Every year the Las Vegas Convention Center hosts the SEMA Show which draws in excess of 100,000 auto related industry leaders from countries around the globe, but more importantly it brings in the buyers for the products to fuel the aftermarket.
The SEMA Show always delivers the coolest cars, trucks and bikes to the event. Many of these vehicles are customized and accessorized with the products found throughout the SEMA Show floor. SEMA also provides the opportunity for attendees to see product demonstrations, attend educational seminars and offers countless networking opportunities.
The aftermarket in automotive, truck and SUV and even the RV market has exploded in recent years and even in a down economy the aftermarket continues to thrive by simply reinventing it’s self. There are about 1,500 new products showcased each year at SEMA and they continue to grow this part of the event. Thinking outside the box with new products can help drive sales as well as grow a company. There are many products like cleaning and polishing goods, repair and refinishing products and exhaust and fuel delivery systems that have the environment in mind which is something companies are thinking about when introducing new products.
The automobiles showcased at SEMA bring the new products and trends in the industry to the forefront to show buyers the possibilities in today’s aftermarket. Most of these vehicles are over the top with wild paint jobs and extreme interiors, but they do reach out and draw you in and that is their purpose. The cars, trucks, hot rods, customs and countless other four wheeled and two wheeled machines at the SEMA Show will always be the center of attention and I’ll round the dice to say it will only get bigger and bolder in the future. I know they say “What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas”; well if it happened at SEMA you will hear about it.
