We have the chassis back in the shop and want to install the engine and trans. The engine mounts are tubular with a urethane bushing to absorb vibrations.  The frame mounts are simple and flank the bushing. A 1/2 bolt passes through the mount and the bushing. We added our own touch to top off the two mounts brackets.
On the drivers side of the frame we also have mounted the Vega steering gear. The trick is to keep the drag link parallel to the tie rod when mounting the steering gear.
You should also mount the box so the drag link will also be in the same horizontal plane as the tie rod.  Since the full weight of the vehicle is not on the frame at this time we mount the box so the drag link at the Vega steering arm is a little higher than the drag link. We have also left out of the front spring stack a couple of spring leafs.  When the vehicle is fully assembled we can again check the drag link angle.  If we need to bring up the suspension we can by adding back the leafs to the front spring stack.

The small block Chevy engine we plan to use was in need of some aftermarket exhaust headers. While attending the Hot Rod and Restoration Show in Indy earlier this year Sanderson Headers came through with a set of their coated headers.
Donna Smith of Sanderson was our contact at the show.  She was true to her word as the headers arrived within a week after the show.  As you can see in the pictures the quality is first class.  The headers fit perfect and are a great addition to the engine package. Thanks Donna.

Sorry, its a little blurry!
