Now that the rails are tack welded in the fixture, we move on to installing the Mounting Block System. This system will enable the customer to mount all times to the finished frame.  We install metal blocks that will be positioned behind the boxing plates.

The positions are determined by the locations of body mounting holes, fender mounts, running board mounting holes and hood hold down mounting locations.

The different size blocks are welded over the center points of each mounting location. In the case of this frame, it is only needing body mount locations. You can see the clocks mounted in their locations inside the rail.

One more thing we offer is the rear C Notch Reinforcement. This is a separate section of 3/16" steel plate cut to fit inside the rear frame section where the C Notch is located. This is in addition to the traditional boxing plate. It's located in the middle of the rail section over the C Notch. This option will reinforce the C Notch area by transferring the load over the C notch to a reinforced frame section.

Just another little something we offer in our frame and chassis. Check out the pictures We are now ready to position the boxing plates and start welding them in position. That will be covered in the next segment. Let me take this time to wish everyone a safe and joyous holiday season from
