Fuzzy standing by completed car

Here are photos of the Ty Johnson ‘51 Chevy built by Darryl Starbird back in the 50’s and restyled by Dick Scully for Roger Lick in the 60’s. The car was last shown at the 1964 New York Worlds Fair and then it was sold in 1965 and painted green.

It was purchased by John Possedi and stored in a barn until 2005 when we found it. We got him fired up to restore the car

and here are some restoration photos of the car and the car as completed.

The car will debut at the Detroit Autorama in March 2009 with Darryl Starbird as the Builder of the year. Story and Photos by Dick “Fuzzy” Fuerholzer
