Bob DeCarlo's
33 Ford Truck
Birth of A Street Rod

January 2003

Good morning all….My good friend and guy I build cars on the weekends with, just bought this gem in the rough. He was going home last week and wanted to avoid the traffic and decided to take a short cut and got lost. Well as luck would have it on one of the streets he came across a '33 Ford Pick-Up Truck. He went up to the door and asked the guy if he wanted to sell it. He was not real interested in parting with it but Bob was able to charm him out of it. The top has been chopped 2" and the front fenders have been moved back a few inches also. It still has the old flat head V8 but knowing Bob that won't last long. As you can see the glass needs to be replaced but it's all flat and that's no problem. It needs a tailgate but I have found a place that remakes them. It needs a lot of bodywork but we have a metal man at the shop that can do with metal what David Copperfield can do with the Statue of Liberty, he's magic!!! Well here are some pictures of it just after Bob picked it up and I'll send some more as we move along……"That's my story and I'm sticking to it!"
