ADTA 4th ANNUAL
TRUCK SHOW
2000
Pictures and coverage are brought to you by Don Roberts & Ken Tucker

The 4th Annual Truck Show was a hot one.  111 degrees with 107 degrees in the shade.  We're here to tell you the show was moved to Oct 13.  We will have a cool time with a lot of kool trucks.  People were in from 19 state's, it just keeps on growing.  This is the only show in the USA that's just for the Advance Design series, so that is why we started the ADTA (Advance Design Truck Association)  Check out the new site www.adta4755.bigstep.com.  The ADTA's Tulsa chapter is working with the American Cancer Society's - Camp OK Corral - Kids Cancer Camp-look at that site - www.plugthemeter.bigstep.com.  Come & join the ADTA this October.                               Ken Tucker.

Founders of the ADTA - Don Roberts blue 1948 Chevy & Ken Tucker's red 1953 Chevy Truck.  This was a photo shoot for the paper on Monday before the show, to let people know we were doing it again.  We work all summer on the (10,000 mile for a cancer cure) with Scott Sensing.  The ADTA was one of the sponsor's, we gave the ACS $5.00 of every new membership that came in.  $365 was given to the ACS, Do the math that's 72 new members.  We now have member's in 27 states & a few over sea's.

Mick Dixon Cruised in from Dallas, Texas.  He just could not stand seeing a bug on the front of his 1951 Chevy two-tone.

The trucks started rolling into the parking lot of the host hotel around noon on Friday.  The ADTA was on hand to welcome all that came in that afternoon.  We were there 12 pm to 6 pm.

The look on Ken Tucker's face was, where in the world are we going to put all these trucks tomorrow.

The last to roll in at the sonic for the kick off party was our good friend Billy Stockton from Waxahachie, Texas in his 1952 Chevy Panel.  The wood work on the inside was done by Billy.  This is a super neat panel.

This is "Shelly" the 10,000 miles for a Cancer Cure Truck.  Scott Sensing is sitting on the tailgate talking to (left to right) Robert Sherman & Ken Johnson about his 10,802 mile trip the summer of 2000 Tennessee to Arkansas and back, then to Jenks for the ADTA Truck Show & Birthday Bash.

Robert & Leigh Sherman cruised in from Choctaw, Oklahoma in their 1953 Chevy, He says the color on it is blue.  They were having fun all weekend we are looking to see them again in 2001

George Seals is the new owner of this 1951 Chevy.  This truck was built in the late 80's when George got it, it had around 3,000 miles on it.  This past summer he put double that amount on it.
