We
had a long trip to Louisville. About 2000 miles. We saw
a lot of beautiful country
that we had
never seen, so it was a great trip. We knew we had arrived
though, when we
saw
our first Street Rod as we got close to Louisville. That's when we
got excited ! |

Welcome
To Louisville. The bridges over the Ohio River are a wonderful welcome
to a beautiful city. I know this isn't a car
picture.
But it was such a great
welcoming
view that we just couldn't resist
including it in our tour photos. |

We
Set Up Our
Booth the
day before the show
opened.
We
were ready

Then
the "Rodders" arrived.
and we had
non-stop "surfing" of our website throughout the show.
We met so many nice people, including many of
those who
have been visiting our website. We had a visit from a
member of the Carolina Cruisers, our friend Pat Nixon from
NC, Charlie Roberts who has sold several cars on our site,
and many, many new "surfers" who were excited to see our website. |

Once
the Show Began on Thursday , (Aug 5), there were cars as far
as the eye could see. It was quite a mind-boggling sight. We were
told that there were 9700 cars pre-registered
two weeks
before the show and as many as 12,000 expected . That's a lot of Street
Rods ! |

There
were cars stashed everywhere.. Once the grass area was filled they
parked in
every empty space around the buildings. Of course, we
had to
find all
the cars with Flames ! We're trying to get up the nerve to
"flame"
our black
'34 3-Window so we have to check out all the flame jobs ! |

More
Flames at the Ford Booth inside the exhibit building ! It
seems that Ford
is
getting in on the Street Rod bandwagon. They had an impressive booth
with their high performance engines. Guess they're trying to lure
all you Chevy guys Into putting Ford equipment into your Ford cars. |

Treasures
! What's a car show without Rust ? There were quite
a few swap meet vendors with
a lot of
"Good Stuff". Hope you don't see
anything
you really need in these photos ! |

There
were over 200 vendors exhibiting at the show. We got to see a lot
of good folks working hard to provide you with all of the parts you need
to put your rod together. Our friends at Gennie Shifter now have
their entire product line available from our website. Look for them
and many other fine vendors in our Vendor Directory and placed throughout
our site.
It's the convenient way to find the parts and services you need.
