Last week someone calling in to place an ad
on our website asked where we were located, when  I told him we were in Idaho, he said    "Really….. that's not exactly a hotbed of street rodding activity. "   I'm sure he imagines that the streetrods in Idaho look like the car to the right…………...

NOT - - - - - - -

This past weekend we went to a show put on in Payette,
Idaho, which is about 50 miles NW of Boise.  This show has
grown from under 50 cars a few years ago to about 250 this
year.  It was sponsored by "Rods of Ages"  Car Club and the
local   A & W Drive-In.  It was held at the city park,  very nice location with lots of grass and trees.   Take a Look !

This is a really nice Ford Pickup belonging
to Arlen Zimberlin of Nampa, Idaho.

There were several nice wagons ...we've
been  seeing a lot more of them every year

This Bone-stock - Original  '58 IMPALA has a
6-Cylinder engine and 3-spd Column Shift

Nice custom job on a '49 Chev owned by Stan Schindele , Boise

There were a lot of '50 and '60's cars at this show

This extremely nice '55  Chev  belongs to
Sam & Rose  Pitman of Melba, Idaho

We almost bought one of these retractables  ……
more than a few years ago for $3500.  Oh Well !

Nice '56 Chev - it's owner is Mac Barroso, Caldwell, Id

Well… I didn't find any "flames" today,
but I did find a Merc

Okay - Now for the "what is it" car !   Yes, this is an American- built classic.  It's called a "Clenet" and they were a limited production car built in Chatsworth, California in the
'70's.  The owner of this one found it in Canada.
