Here's a pic of my ride that I bought on HRHL about 1 year ago. It's a '47 Chevy Fleetline Aerosedan tubbed and ready to run. It has a 350 w/turbo 350 putting out 350 hp. All the work was done by a man named Mel Treanor in Warland, WY. I have taken the car all over the place: Yuma, AZ; Hurricane, UT; Las Vegas, Laughlin, NV; and all over Southern California. I live just 4 blocks away from Long Beach. Here the car is at Las Vegas under the Fremont Street Experience. Thanks for such a Great Web Site.

Art ~ St. Thomas, Virgin Islands

Originally from Pgh, PA., I’ve been in the Virgins 12yrs. About 3 years ago my wife sold a house, the previous owner left an '83 Ford LTD on the property. Sitting under the hood was a 3.8 V6 w/an AOD tranny, the rest is history. Thanks to Brookville Roadster and a lot of help from Bill Smith at Speedway I now have a '29 Ford Roadster, the only one on the Island. While there are a hand full of older cars here, the car sport is Japanese (BORING). Chrome exhaust tips, custom wheels, and trick paint. But we plan to move soon to Sarasota, FL., soon and I can get back in touch with Hot Rods.

These cars are cheap fun. I'm into each one around $3,500 each.

My Pickup has a Ford 351W / AOD trans. The judging officials at the 2003 Pueblo NSRA Regionals got a big kick out of it, being it was backward to the rest of the street rodders thinking, a Ford in a Chevy instead of a Chevy in a Ford, and they gave me a Reps Pick Award. It may be totally crazy but it gets attention, and my wife and I have a ball with it everywhere we go.

I'm currently in the USAF. Carroll Shelby bought the 1k Chargers from Dodge and sent them to his plant in Whittier, CA. He added an intercooler to the turbo-charged 2.2 liter four-banger, bigger throttle body, two piece intake, his own "Centurion" wheels and numbered dash plaque, and brought the power up to 175hp / 175lb-ft. Doesn't sound like much, but in a 2480lb car, it's enough. 5-Speed manual with overdrive, 3.56 final drive, 0-60 in 6.5 seconds (stock) and 14.84 second quarter mile (stock). My car is #564 of the 1k built. I've added a Mopar Performance computer (+35hp), K&N air filter, 2-1/2" exhaust, repainted in 2001 with repop decals and had the wheels polished. I know...it's a 4 cylinder / front wheel drive, but I still love it.
