I am the owner and builder. The 1940 Chevy was completed Dec 2002. I don’t do this professionally. I did body work many years ago, but now it’s a hobby. The '40 Chevy is the first car I have done with that much work to it. Here's some details: Powertrain 305 TPI w/4spd auto tranny, Mustang II front and Nova rear. Completely stripped of paint. Rust and dents repaired and body then customized. All sheet-metal parts for bumpers, fenders, running boards, and hood scoops hand fabricated. Paint color Autumn Maple Firemist 1985 Cadillac Base coat / Clear coat.

Next to the Classic Birds, I always liked the Bullet birds the best. I bought this car in Kalispell, MT in June of 2002. Stripped to bare metal, nosed, shaved, and decked by Dave Stark. Roger Shattuck of Special Effects applied Silver Blue Metallic with BC 180 metal flake, followed by four coats of clear, color sanded & buffed. Balanced & blueprinted Ford High Performance M Code 390 c.i. with 10:5:1 compression and Tri-Power. Lowered 2” and sports 17x8 American Racing Torque Thrust wheels w/255/45 rubber. Ford C-6 trans and 9” rear. I plan to detail the engine and install Vintage AC next year. The T-Bird has done pretty well on the car show circuit, taking home seven trophies in six shows.

Sir William’s Chevelle This is a picture of our son William's car which he purchased in 1996 with no motor or tranny and in need of restoration. He did not have the intent of having numbers matching original Chevelle; but, when he was done, he wanted to have a nice/clean street car that he could drive. It was going to be his show car replica. He was killed by a drunk driver and only had the frame work done. Dad decided to finish the car and go cruisin' with it. Five years after Billy was gone, Dad drove the car out of the garage and to the Syracuse Nationals and we have been crusin' all summer. It is a very special car to us and it was finished the same way it was started. No numbers match; but, it is a great cruise car. Our definition of a show car replica. WEB SITE: www.billylanphere.com
