The Ionia Hotrod Shop is run by Denny Lesky and his son Matt. Denny is truly a builder with no equal in the way he builds frames and chassis. Denny and I met years ago at Curbside when we were both picking up frame rails. From that point on I have been influenced by the products and work that Denny and his son Matt have consistently produced.
When you call the shop you will probably talk with Matt who handles the front office when he's not helping in the shop. Matt actually made the dies for the belled holes used in the boxing plates and various parts while in the explorer program at General Motors over a decade ago.
Denny and Matt have perfected a system of belled holes for boxing plates, crossmembers and various other parts for a product line that stands alone. Tom and I went over to Dennys shop to work out details of a very special and exclusive project we hope to announce very soon.
You can see Denny standing by a customers chassis. That chassis is a fine example of the work and ingenuity IHRS has to offer. They build frames, chassis and cars in the old time theme, but with the strength in parts and design that exemplifies their talents.
