Hi, I have heard about this backyard rod shop for a while and finally decided to make the trip to Los Alamos, Ca. to check it out. Los Alamos is off U.S.101 along the Central Coast close to Vandenberg AFB. The shop is run by Bob Herrera or "BEAR" as most people call him.I parked in front of Bear's beautiful home and went around the back to a well equipped rod shop. Inside were a flawless GTO which he built, a Deuce that he is building, a 61 Bubble Top Chev. and a 41 Dodge pickup under construction. In his other garage was his 33 Ford which is flawless also. Showing me his before and after pictures

it was amazing to think someone can be so talented resurrecting these to live again

Bear is a TCI, Locar and a Vintage Air dealer also. After checking his place out I went to the antique shops and museum in the quaint town and found a couple more cars. Fun trip glad I went. Sam
