	Kyle 1973 VW Beetle

My name is Kyle. I’m 16 and I live in Poteau Oklahoma. Since I was a kid I basically grew up in a garage helping my dad. Well... when I turned 13 we decided to do a project. It first started out with a 73 VW Beetle. And a small Ford Pickup. Then it became the monster. It has a modified 350 small block with a 350-turbo transmission. A regular Ford 9" rear end. And 50's all around. It gets very wild on the drag strip. We haven’t had the chance to make a good pass because of tire spin and almost going sideways. Our best time is 8.6 @ 91 mph. in the 8th. It has won numerous car show awards for unfinished and several pro-street burnout trophies.
Just about every step of the way I have been working on it with my dad. I have learned so much from him and plan on passing it down to my kids someday. When I’m older of course. The best part is he trusts me to drive it. Now just to convince him to give it to me.
My dad has always said. "If it don’t have wheels and a motor, I'm not involved with it"
