Curtis Zwygart, 24 and brother Matt, 21. We both work with our dad, Kevin, at Flamin Z Hot Rodz in Cowgill Mo. Dad has had a collision shop since the mid ‘70’s and done several customs and hot rods also. Me and my brother have messed with cars since we could walk, and now do it as a profession. I started full time after I graduated in 2001 and my brother when he graduated in 2004. Since me and my brother have started working with my dad we have gone more towards the customs and hot rods and that’s when we changed the name to Flamin Z Hot Rodz. We have learned all what we do from our dad, who is currently guiding us through this project. He’s the professional so his help and input is Great.
The car is a ’37 Ford OZE 3 window coupe. We purchased it back in November and started working steady on it around the end of January. It is getting full air ride suspension, 20” and 18” Billet Specialties wheels, 502 BB with Barry Grant 6 shooter intake. We are almost finished with the mocking up stage. It will receive a two-tone paint job of some color.
We are planning on it being finished by the GoodGuy’s car show in Des Moines and Columbus. We plan on taking it to many more shows, those two are our deadline.
