Updated August 28, 2008: With all the TV shows building a car in a week of 26-hour days, we felt the itch to do a bit better. That’s why DW Horton from Welder Series will be building this ’32 Hiboy in 32 hours. Using this catchy approach, it would have been much easier to build a ’99 Geo in 99 hours, but we are in fact a street rod shop. May 29, 2008: This is Independence, Iowa High School 1948 Chevy Panel Truck Frame-off Restoration Project. The Chevy Panel Truck took six semesters to complete which equates to approximately 540 class periods that are 90 minutes long. About 810 hours which equaled 101.25 eight hour days or about 3.4 months worth of eight hour days. On average I have about 12 students in the class a year so around 72 students total. Take a look...
May 7, 2008: My name is Mike Batchelor and I am the auto instructor at Haleyville High School in Winston County, Alabama. My students are building a 1923 Ford T-Bucket as a project. This project not only informs the students in the car career, but motivates them to come to school. Out attendance and grades have increased by as much as 75%.
