The 2005 Lifetime Achievement honoree is Beverly Rae Kimes, automotive editor/author of hundreds of articles, numerous books, and, over the 40+ years of her career which began with an editing position in 1963 at Automobile Quarterly, recipient of many awards. Bev is perhaps the most honored automobile historian in America. She is a past president of the Society of Automotive Historians, and has served as executive editor of the Classic Car Club of America since 1981.
Best of 2005: There are 11 divisions comprised of numerous categories. From among the highest point IAMA Gold awards winners in each division, a Best of Division is chosen, and from those Best of Division winners is chosen the Best of 2005. The Best of 2005 is awarded to Michael Oneal and Jim Mateja for Cadillac Kid, in the Chicago Tribune.
