Anyone know what car has rear seats that will fit in a '34 Ford 2dr sedan? Jerry tudorsedan1934@yahoo.com (07/2/09)

I presently have 15" Halibrand Knock-offs with P195/60 front & P285/70 rear onmy 32 Ford Roadster. I would like to change wheels & tires to 17" front & 18" rear, since there are a wider range of wheel/tire packages available. My concern is: 1). Will the larger wheel distort the suspension travel since the frame was built around 15" wheels. 2). Since most 17"/18" wheels support low profile tires, the center and over-all height will change, is that a concern? Speedo calibration? Thanks for your help. Jim jcorby@accuratetile.com (06/25/09)

Hi I was asked by my dad to submit a question about his 86 chevy c10. He recently has finished installing a 350 gm crate engine into it. He also put in a new tci converter. I believe this is the third one so far, and has a tci 700r4 tranny. The motor is all new besides the parts we kept from the old motor, the 600 holley carb, edelbrock intake, hooker headers, flowmaster exhaust. The rest of the motor is new. He recently did the rear end ratio test to find out what it is running, and we figure it is around 2.79. One of the questions he has is how to improve gas mileage. He mentioned 10-12 mpg and would like to get better. I have reached quite a few junk yards in search of a 3.73 rear end. That didn't make since with the rear end calculator which mentioned a 2.2 rear end to get the desired rpms. Besides the improving gas mileage we have also had a situation with the timing on the motor. We have the timing set at 38 degrees. With much tinkering this seems to be the mark where it runs the best, even though we have been told that 13-17 degrees is where the motor should be but when we try it starts missing and idling becomes a problem. Your help with this would be great, it seems that we could never get this to run the way he wants it. Thanks, Jeff jefphiljr@gmail.com (05/22/09)

Hi, I am an old hot rodder that can't remember how hoses to the heater were attached...I have replaced the 283 motor that was in my 65 chevy truck with a 350 crate...using the original heater. The vinyl top on my 29 Ford A Tudor has come loose above the front visor. It looks like the nails have come loose. I am worried about driving it and having the top peel back and land on the windshield of a car behind. I would like to repair this as "original" and use the existing top which appears to be in good shape. I hope that somebody who has fixed this problem can give me some tips and sources to get parts. Thanks, Jerry Cook GJJERRYCOOK@aol.com (04/30/09)
