The West Coast’s largest gathering ever of Indian Motorcycles is thundering toward the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California. On Sat., Aug, 26, an estimated 100-plus Indian bikes will cruise into the Pomona Fairplex for Indian Day West. The free event, held in conjunction with the current “World’s Fastest Indians’ exhibit at the Museum, runs from 8 a.m-2 p.m. “There are numerous activities planned for Indian Day West,” said noted Indian Motorcycle expert and racer Eric Vaughn, who’s helping organize the event. “We anticipate this to be a once in a lifetime opportunity for Indian Motorcycle......... Without a doubt, the largest motorsport’s event in the five-state intermountain west is the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals. Set for August 10th thru 13th, the Nightfire will be celebrating it's 35th Anniversary at Firebird Raceway. Special preparations and plans have been underway for the past ten months to set the stage for one of this country’s premiere racing weekends.In total, better than 500 entrants will be on hand for the Nightfire from fifteen western states and three Canadian provinces, including over 50 Professional entries vying for $170,000 in prize money. CLICK HERE FOR MORE

Plans for the Anniversary of the Deuce continue ... Fifty-two owners of cars on the list of THE 75 Most Significant ’32 Ford Hot Rods have committed to bringing their cars to the January 26-28, 2007 exhibit, being held in conjunction with the 58th Annual Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, Calif. HRM Sept., ’74, R&C, Aug. 92, and SRM cover This is the information we have on the Bill Desatoff Tudor. - John Corno bought the Tudor from Desatoff and - Corno sold it to a gentleman in Portland. - He sold it to another person in that area who still has it (Doesn’t drive it, has a big block and different wheels). SCAM WARNINGS......   The scammers are out there again... but there are new twists... the same old scam where they want to pay you more than the agreed price and then have you send them money for a broker, transporter, etc... IT’s a SCAM ! NEVER send someone money who is buying your car. The second scam is where people list a car for sale WAY Below it’s value hoping to get anxious buyers to send them a deposit.... if they can get 10 people to send them $1000 each they’ve done good. If you see a car for sale that is priced WAY BELOW market .... if it looks like it’s too good to be true... then it is... you usually cannot reach these people by phone. We have had several of them try to place ads here and have caught them but not everyone is so vigilant so we want you to know about this scam. There are also some scammers trying to bring people in by telling them their car is being bought for use in a movie ... they usually end up asking for you to send them money too but they put a twist on it.  Most of these scammers do not talk like CAR GUYS... you can usually pick up that something is not quite right... trust your Instincts in these instances and you won’t get taken....
