The great folks at Somernites Cruise have come up with a great new cruise idea for the July 22 cruise. It’s called Somernites PowerCruise and will bring rodders from 3 different locations on a cruise to Somerset, KY. The starting locations are in Cincinatti, Bowling Green, and Knoxville and the whole thing looks like a pile of FUN ! Check it out

Over 1,600 Vintage Cars Heading For Milwaukee!
Over 1,600 street rods, customs, muscle cars and street machines will be on hand at the Wisconsin State Fair Park this summer as the National Street Rod Association® presents its 2nd Annual Milwaukee Nationals®. The dates for the city’s largest vintage car show will be July 14, 15, 16, 2006.
This will be the 2nd time the NSRA Milwaukee Nationals® have been held in Milwaukee and an all time high number of participants and spectators are expected this year. Almost all of the Wisconsin State Fair Park will be utilized for the event as well as many of the buildings, which will house over 100 manufacturer and dealer displays and other attractions.
All vehicles must be driven on to the grounds. Included in this event are muscle cars, those factory produced high horsepower machines from the 60’s and 70’s along with the classics cars of the 50’s. This is truly unique mix of old and new together for the first time at Wisconsin State Fair Park and a national gathering of fine vintage automobiles of every description. The NSRA Milwaukee Nationals is the area’s largest automotive participation event and spectators from around the area will attend the event. A wiring harness is only as good as it is engineered. The quality of the wire or the crimps is meaningless if it is engineered with incorrect lengths of wire, improper gauges or poorly constructed laid-in wires (which we will discuss shortly). Articles and Other News....

We recently received a request for help from one of our visitors who is seeking information about this car. The Weinberg Roadster" Built in 1947 by "Big Bill" Edwards for Bob Weinberg to run the Dry Lakes. (Bob Weinberg also ran one of the Blue Crown Specials at Indy in this period of time.) The roadster had a Mercury flathead with 4:71 blower and three Winfield carbs set behind the motor, down low, driven by a drive-shaft that went across the intake manifold area. The body is aluminum and was built by Lujie Lusofsky and Emil Deidt for Mr. Edwards. Built on a modified '32 Ford chassis at a cost of $20,000 in 1947. Currently being restored for an event in 2007 and need Offenhauser Block Letter Heads, Winfield carbs and additional history from anyone who might care to participate. Owned for the past 15 years by Matt Jones of Cypress, Texas. matteo@reoriginals.com Before that it resided in a pool hall in an Irish Pub in Wisconsin. Once owned also by Ray Ulrich, Andy Granatelli's engine man.
