Over 4,300 street rods will be on hand at the York Expo Center this summer as the National Street Rod Association® presents its 33rd Annual Street Rod Nationals East®. The dates for the city’s largest vintage car show will be June 2, 3, 4, 2006. This will be the 26th time the NSRA Street Rod Nationals East® have been held in York and an all time high number of participants and spectators are expected this year. One thing you can say about Mike Spitzer: he can build almost anything. Although best known for his Competition Eliminator cars in NHRA Championship drag racing, he's built everything from land-speed record cars and top alcohol dragsters to nostalgia front-engine dragsters and beautifully engineered junior dragsters. In fact, his company Spitzer Enterprises has built more than 3,500 race cars! This photo is of our top two winners from our 1st annual Port Allegany Show. The show was August 6, 2005 in Port Allegany, PA. We had 108 participants. It was a great show. I'm only sorry I don't have more pictures to share. The car on the left was the 1st place car, 73 Hemi Cuda owned by Bill and Denese Walters of Ulysses, PA and the car on the right was our best of show. It is a 71 Dodge RT, owned by Dana Halle of Roulette, PA. We had a great variety of food on the square and a DJ. There were dash plaques, goodie bags and door prizes for the drivers. Our 2nd annual Port Allegany Car Show will be held on August 5, 2006 with proceeds again going to charities.
