Over 2,200 Vintage Cars Heading For Springfield ! - Over 2,200 street rods will be on hand at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds this spring as the National Street Rod Association® presents its 23rd Annual Mid-America Street Rod Nationals®. The dates for the city’s largest vintage car show will be May 26, 27, 28, 2006. The world’s fastest Indian is stopping at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California. The legendary motorcycle, made famous first on the salt in Bonneville and then in the recent Sir Anthony Hopkins movie, ‘The World’s Fastest Indian,” is the spotlight of a new exhibit coming to the motorsports mecca at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., from June 10 through August. The beautiful town of Somerset, Kentucky opens it’s streets and it’s hearts to welcome Rodders on the 4th Saturday of each month from April to October with the most fun you’ve had since you were a kid cruising your local hometown drag !
