The history of American Racing Equipment (ARE), one of the most dominant wheel companies in the automotive aftermarket, will be presented in a special exhibit at Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California. “50 Years of American Racing Wheels” is set to run at the motorsports center at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., from Oct. 20, 2006 through Jan. 28, 2007. For Details....

Rick Dore Makes a Family Dream come True  October 16, 2006 It’s not often a custom car builder can fulfill a family’s dream. It was about a year ago that Arizona designer/builder; Rick Dore received a call from Pat Warner of New Jersey, who asked Rick if he would finish a 1969 Pontiac Firebird for her family. Rick was about to tell her he usually doesn’t do that type of car when Pat stated that it was for her kids and a tribute to her late husband, Brian Warner who was lost in the twin towers on 9/11. Somernites Cruise is held on the Fourth Friday & Saturday of each month April-October, rain or shine. There are many events on "the strip" on Friday night and in Downtown Somerset on Saturday. Finding ourselves in South Africa I thought it might be of interest to you to hear our story My friend is 29 and I am 30 so we can qualify as a young rodders team with an average age of 29.5 The cars....I am a die hard tri 5 fan and bought my 1st '57 back in '97 it was a 210 4 door as that is about the only tri 5s we get around this part of the world. My second '57 Chevy is the same model, also a 210 4 door, was pink if you don't mind which I bought last year and am currently working on. I'll include some pictures of how far I am currently in the process of changing it into a 2 door 150 Blackwidow clone (1512 body style) (don't you just love those classic NASCARS!!!. CLICK HERE
