  The highlight of our trip to Pomona for the Grand National Roadster show on Jan. 25th was the dinner and exhibit of the kickoff for the Deuce Anniversary celebration for 2007. There was a great dinner hosted by Ford Motor company honoring the Significant 75 Hot Rods 32 Fords. Jack Lawford is from a small island in Maine where Edsel Ford spent his summers and they had a chance to reminisce about their “Seal Harbor” days a little. Ford Motor Company provided Hotrodhotline.com with a very nice booth in the 32 Ford exhibit hall in appreciation of our help in putting this event together. Check out the Deuce Anniversary “kick off” HERE....

If you thought the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, was a beehive of activity and events in 2006, just wait ’til 2007. That’s the word from Tony Thacker, the Parks Museum’s executive director who announced the overflow slate for the coming year. According to Thacker, there will be four new exhibits, educational seminars, a full season of Twilight Cruise Nights, panel discussions and two Nights of Champions. Also on tap are the two wildly successful Hot Rod Reunions (in Bakersfield, Calif. and Columbus, Ohio) which the Museum produces. In short, it’s a year long on family-fun motorsports and hot rod-related events and attractions. LOOK !

The National Street Rod Association has announced the return of the SUPER PRIZE program at it’s events in 2007. This year is no exception. With over eighty companies participating, the total value of the 2007 Super Prize Program will be $1,304,654.00. That is $100,358.00 in prizes, per event, given away to registered event participants at each of NSRA's 13 events Get complete information ... the April Oklahoma show is fast approaching and you don’t want to miss it.

Tickets to the March Meet are presently available online, and will be available at the gate during the event. A three-day pass is $75. Tickets for Friday are $25; Saturday and Sunday are $30 each day. Auto Club members also receive a $ 2 discount off daily admission tickets by showing their cards when they purchase tickets at the track. Daily tickets for children ages 7 to 12 are $10 and kids 6 and under are free when accompanied by an adult with paid admission. The Kern County Racing Association (KCRA) operates historic Auto Club Famoso Raceway (just north of Bakersfield, Calif.) and promotes a full schedule of races year round, including the world famous March Meet.
