Collectors stories from American Collectors Insurance.   When our son Eric was old enough to drive, we promised him a used car to drive to High School. Eric found a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air at a used car dealer. It was about 50% restored and something my wife and I could afford at the time. Hetfield, Magnuson Take Home Early-Season Honors from Goodguys. With spring in full swing, the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association has been busy staging events and handing out major awards. In the past two weeks, two of the 2010 “Terrific 12” awards have been presented at west coast events.  Jerry Magnuson’s “Magnatude” ’32 Muroc roadster earned The Street Rod d’Elegance crown at Del Mar.
