Seller Alert !
We want to let our readers know that many of our sellers have been getting phone calls from someone named "Karen" saying that she is from Hotrodhotline and that she can put your ad on other sites ...... we want to let you know that this person "Karen" is NOT from Hotrodhotline and is trying to trick you into spending money with their organization. This is a scam so you should tell her that you know she is not with Hotrodhotline and that you have been warned about her. You may receive calls from others saying that they will put ads online for you .... but you should ask yourself ... who are these people and how would anyone else find my car there if I never heard of them. They are usually just boiler room operations that have nothing to do with our industry... and who do not promote their websites. They are just trying to get your money !
We were also contacted by one of our sellers ... Who was contacted by someone claiming to be an Air Hostess with a Turkish Airline… They said they were interested in buying the sellers vehicle for their Dad. They claimed they are not allowed personal effects such as phones or other electronic appliances, so they are not able to call and handle the transaction over the phone. If they are not allowed phones or other electronic appliances ... Just how are they contacting you. If they can contact you by email.. They have access to perform the task they say they are not allow to perform. THIS IS A SCAM..

Many of us “gearheads” have had the experience of being pulled over by our friendly local law-enforcement officer and being told that we were exceeding the posted speed limit. We inform him of the fact that we couldn’t be speeding because our speedometer indicated that we were doing exactly what the posted speed limit is.
