MSRA's Back to the Fifties Weekend 2013
HotRod Hotline Attends Back to the Fifties
St. Paul, MNFriday, June 21, 2013
As always, the Minnesota Street Rod Association's Back to the Fifties Weekend at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul, MN was a rockin' good time. Tens of thousands of people (12,043 at last count) and vehicles, braved the threat of inclement weather to come cruise, carouse, and celebrate the MSRA's 40th Anniversary event.
Our booth was right by the registration table where people came to pick up their mugs, and the cool Back to the Fifties 40th Anniversary metal sign! We had a front row seat for people watching, and made sure we had plenty of time to check out the amazing cars on display, as well as the different pavilions and exhibits including Sunday's Swap Meet, the Ladies Pavilion, the Craft & Cruise building, the Kids area, and of course the Michigan Hot Rod Association Rolling Rod Repair shop!
We've included a few of our own photos from the weekend - of folks who dropped by the booth, of the start of the Great Race which kicked off from the fairgrounds on Saturday morning, and of just a few things over the weekend that we thought were pretty cool. We'd love to hear memories of this event, and any other Back to the Fifties memories that you, our readers, have, so feel free to e-mail us stories and photos.
As your own photos roll in, we'll link to them on this post so be sure to check back throughout the week.
