Hot Rod Homecoming
LA Fairplex, Pomona, CASaturday, March 23, 2013
HOT ROD celebrated its 65th anniversary on March 23-24, 2013 with a HOT ROD Homecoming, a very special car show that was at the Fairplex in Pomona, California. The historic site is the location of the very first NHRA drag race and the home of the NHRA Winternationals. It’s also the current location of the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, the LA Roadsters’ show, and the Grand National Roadster Show.
The indoor show buildings at the Hot Rod Homecoming was filled with cars, trucks, boats and bikes that have been featured in the magazine since its' inception 65 years ago. Surrounding the indoor show buildings were more hot rods from registered participants; this was a sold-out event.
Along with all this was live music, and lots of vendors and food venues. As if in on the plan, Mother Nature presented the car show with near perfect weather.
