1971-73 Mustang Strut Suspension Kit: These very popular cars suffer from the malady common to most 60’s cars…poor geometry due to the minimal demands of the tires and traffic of their day. Today’s roads and superior tire traction require updates to make these cars work as well as they look. By installing a strut type suspension based on 94-04 Mustang parts, you’ll eliminate the factory bumpsteer while gaining an adjustable ride with either coilovers or Airride, along with 5 lug disc brakes (15” or larger wheels are required). The original column, or a tilt column and U-joint hook up can be used to complete the job. The rack and pinion and polished stainless steel lower control arms attach to a new crossmember plate which bolts in and reinforces the body, avoiding the problems associated with welding a MII crossmember into the weak stock sub rails. Since the McPherson Strut Suspension eliminates the upper control arms, you can choose to trim the fender wells for header clearance, or leave them stock. Mustang II coil-over front crossmember kit, 56'' track width [WS21906]. This is a Mustang II kit for conventional coil-overs instead of stock-type springs and shocks. This lets you use different spring rates and maintain the same ride height by adjusting the lower spring collar on the coil-over. Often the coil-over shock has an adjustable rebound rate, too. Use coil-overs that have a ride height of 11-1/2 - 12''. Use Mustang II tubular upper arms and Mustang II tubular lowers designed for coil-overs and no strut rod. This 56'' width is used in Fords and Chevs up to 1948 and many other vehicles.These kits are designed to lower a frame. Additional work might be required to keep a frame at the stock ride height. This unique kit has laser-cut slits that let you fold the crossmember pieces by hand. Clayton Machine Works Unveils New Concept in Valve Covers: Clayton Machine Works (CMW) has introduced their newest product; a set of innovative valve covers for small block Chevys. The polished aluminum valve covers offer fresh, high end style with a new, never-before seen functionality for the discerning owner. CMW wanted to incorporate entirely new ideas in both the looks and functions of the covers and did so by incorporating the PCV valve and breather into new design elements. Adding to the uniqueness are the removable styling elements, including center section, which can be painted, polished or plated in numerous combinations to the owner’s likes. CMW’s design goal from the start was to avoid the bulky, ‘stuck on’ appearance of conventional PCVs and breathers normally seen on engines that have to use either one or both. To achieve that, the PCV valve hides under a nearly flush-mounted elliptical design element. The breather is also incorporated into a similar design element. Juliano’s Positive-Closing Power Cowl Vent: Juliano’s power cowl vent is engineered to shut tightly and provide a positive seal to seal out cold air and rain from your car’s interior. The secret to this unit is a reverse-polarity motor that only works in one direction at a time. It will either open or close the vent, and absolutely cannot allow it to re-open even if you hold your finger on the power button too long. Other power cowl vent kits operate on a continuous-rotation principle, which means they don’t “know” when to stop. So if you hold the button, the vent will start to re-open again if you’re not paying attention. This unit takes all the guesswork out of it, pulling the vent down tightly every time. The reverse-polarity motor is operated by the same kind of directional rocker switch like power windows use. Push one side for open and push the opposite side to close. This kit is the high-quality solution if you want to eliminate the cowl vent handle from under your dash, and includes the wire harness and switch. The system uses a small security fob that interfaces with on-board electronic circuitry to identify the user and release the vehicle’s start and accessory circuits. A lithium watch battery powers the compact keyless fob. The security fob activates when the driver is within close proximity to the vehicle, allowing the system to power up. To start the vehicle, the driver pushes the illuminated start button, which is installed wherever convenient. To assure vehicle security and prevent unauthorized starting, the on-board electronic module uses a rotating, random access code that interfaces only to the specific fob for the vehicle.
