Championship Auto Shows Gets Ready
For 25th Anniversary Chevy Vettefest Nationals Fall Show

Show boasts new owner and new location

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The fall edition of the twenty-fifth anniversary Chevy Vettefest Nationals, under new owner Championship Auto Shows, Inc., changes venues to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, Ill., and will fill 400,000 sq. ft. there on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 18-19.

Chevy Vettefest is an all-indoor, all-Chevrolet show and swap meet billed as the largest show of its type in the country, with more than 400 cars and a wide variety of vendors, ranging from the weekend swapper to nationally recognized specialty Corvette vendors. “For anyone who enjoys Chevrolet’s best, or who enjoys talking with people who live and breath these cars, or who is searching for that elusive part, the 25th Anniversary Chevy Vettefest Nationals fall edition is the place to be,” said Championship Auto Shows show manager Bob Ashton.

The Chevy Vettefest offers judging for stock, restored, custom and modified cars in Gold Spinner Concourse and Bow Tie Boulevard classes. For the Triple Crown award, competitors converge from across the country to vie for an honor given only to the finest restored Corvettes that already have achieved Gold Spinner, NCRS Top Flight and Bloomington Gold status. A team of experienced Corvette experts stringently judges Triple Crown entries so that only a select few Corvettes win this award at each show.

Muscle car aficionados can expect to see a wide variety of Camaros, Chevelles and Novas. Cars from Yenko, Nickey, Baldwin-Motion and Berger also will be featured in the sYc Supercars Showcase, and fans of 55-6-7 and earlier models will find many of Chevy’s finest at the show.

Championship Auto Shows has been producing indoor custom car and motorsports events since 1958 and was the moving force behind the International Show Car Association and International Show Producers Association. More than a million spectators annually attend more than 20 Championship Auto Shows events throughout the United States and Canada primarily under the Autorama, World of Wheels and Cavalcade of Customs names.

At 840,000-sq.-ft. and with an 8,000-car parking facility, the Daniel E. Stephens Convention Center, 9301 West Bryn Mawr Ave., Rosemont, Ill., is among the country’s largest convention centers. The venue is five minutes from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, between there and the City of Chicago, at the intersection of several major highways.

“The new location offers a wide variety of hotels and restaurant’s and easy access for both participants and spectators, being right next to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport,” Ashton said. “With the quality of restored and custom Chevy’s and Corvette’s getting better every year, we look forward to another fantastic show and a sell-out crowd.”
