Fifty-two owners of cars on the list of THE 75 Most Significant ’32 Ford Hot Rods have committed to bringing their cars to the January 26-28, 2007 exhibit, being held in conjunction with the 58th Annual Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, Calif. Official “congratulation/ invitation” packets have just been sent to all the identified owners and the number of cars participating is expected to rise rapidly. |

“Each of these cars has a significant place in history. Gathering them together is unprecedented and will truly be a once in a lifetime event,” said Greg Sharp, curator of the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum and a member of the THE 75 Deuces steering committee. “For the past few months we have been playing detective, tracking down the location of THE 75 and individually contacting c u r r e n t owners. The response has been phenomenal. We are zeroing in on identifying the last few owners, and then there are the cars we’ve been assuming had not survived, “ adds Sharp. “But we are far from giving up. Recent experience with this list has shown that miracles happen; cars we were sure were gone have now been found. |
