OAK BROOK, IL(May 2006) RC2 Corporation, with an assist from celebrated hot rod designer Chip Foose, unveiled pre-production die-cast versions of its new JL Full Throttle™ premium line of customized, highly detailed “Hardcore Horsepower” die-cast collector cars, to the public for the first time at the recent RCX 2006 Show in Anaheim, California.

RCX show visitors also lined up to meet Foose, the star of TLC’s Overhaulin’, and get his autograph on T-shirts, posters, and the more than 900 Johnny Lightning® die-cast vehicles which were given away during the two-day event.

“This was the first public showing of our upcoming JL Full Throttle lineup, and all of the models were well-received by serious collectors and hobbyists, as well as kids,” says RC2 President Peter Henseler. “Our goal was to get the new JL Full Throttle vehicles and packaging in front of collectors and to establish a connection, an indelible link with Chip Foose.”

Set to launch in major retail stores this coming August, RC2’s JL Full Throttle lineup features a selection of original Chip Foose custom vehicles, including the 2006 Foose “Stallion” Mustang and the renowned GrandMaster, a spectacular 2002 Ridler Award-winning Foose creation inspired by a 1935 Chevy.

To help celebrate the first public showing of its newest lineup, the JL Full Throttle design team installed the actual, full-sized Foose Design GrandMaster coupe, currently owned by Wes Rydell and valued at more than one million dollars in its display area. The GrandMaster will be replicated as part of the JL Full Throttle line-up on die-cast vehicles. Throughout the two-day show, for five hours at a stretch, Chip Foose signed autographs and created personalized hot rod and truck sketches for fans, many of whom waited more than three hours to meet the renowned designer.

In addition to the JL Full Throttle Foose Design customs, RC2 Corporation also unveiled a number of other exciting vehicles in its new product line, including the Gambler Mustang, and two of its new “Rock Rigs” – a Chevy Silverado and a Ford F-150 pickup.
