TORRANCE, CA - Modern engineering and manufacturing technology is making it easier to build reliable performance flathead motors. Now in their 70th year, Edelbrock has long been recognized as pioneering the development of many flathead performance parts and they are supporting this rebirth with the introduction of two new flathead cylinder head designs.
The first, #1116, is designed with a raised roof combustion chamber design for 1949-53 8BA motors. The CNC machined 74cc chamber volume is designed to reduce compression in supercharged applications. Improved flow and increased valve clearance add to the benefits. The reduced compression is also a complement to those wanting to run low octane fuel in naturally aspirated applications. #1116 is sold in pairs.
Designed with nostalgia in mind, Edelbrock is bringing back the "Block Letter" logo option on 24-stud 1938-48 flathead cylinder heads, #1126. Cast in Edelbrock's ultra-modern aluminum foundry, these heads are made from prime A356 aluminum. The combustion chamber is sized at 64cc to accommodate naturally aspirated performance applications. The #1126 Edelbrock Block Letter logo heads are sold in pairs.
Features Include:
· Made in USA quality A356 aluminum casting · #1126 features a 64cc combustion chamber and Edelbrock Block Letter logo for 1938-48 applications · #1116 features large, 74cc combustion chamber option for 1949-53 applications · Sold in pairs · Available with optional polished finish
