Pacific Coast Customs newest hand built Hot Rod to debut next week at the Grand National Roadster Show
I wanted to introduce Pacific Coast Customs newest hand built Hot Rod that is going to debut next week at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, CA. The car has been over 10 years in the works beginning as a High School Club project and turning into a personal project that has been driven around in numerous different styles. We decided 4 months ago to re-do the car yet again and re-do the woodwork and metalwork on it and try to compete for AMBR. It’s been a long 4 months with many 80-90 hour
work-weeks and we're finally coming down to the wire. The car features a hand-built eastern maple and alder body with numerous metal body modifications as well. The hand made body is sitting on top of a modified So-Cal pinched '32 chassis with traditional suspension. A Magna Charger blown 3-deuce Chevy engine and overdrive transmission make it a drive-able car. The body is painted with PPG Vibrance colors and clear and the wood has been finished in the same fashion making it appear like glass. Here are some pictures to let you know what is in store. Back to one more week of late nights and early mornings, see you in Pomona
