 2009 GRAND NATIONAL ROADSTER SHOW
Von Dutch Award

January 23-25, 2009
Pomona Fairplex

BEST PINSTRIPERS IN THE COUNTRY " You have to be in it to win it "

Picture4

Pomona, CATommy “The Itch” Otis has been the sponsor, creator and presenter of the Von Dutch Award for excellence in hand painted pinstriping since the Grand National Roadster Show moved to Los Angeles 6 years ago. Each year he builds a different award and presents it to the best pinstriper of the show and the year. He was an Von Dutch Award winner in 1997.

What he looks for in giving this award is great hand eye brush control, straight lines, flowing designs, style, consistent line thickness and quality line connections.

Every award he builds is different to reflect the true mood of Von Dutch.  No two are the same.

This years award will be a copy of the famed guitar he pinstriped for " Brian Setzer " and next years award will be something that reflected his love of gun smithing. Dutch was no one trick pony.
